Summer 2018

We had a fun summer overall. The boys always attend school throughout the summer, and this summer was no exception. At school the kids constantly share germs with each other, and it seems when one kid at school gets sick, the whole class eventually gets it! It seemed like every day one kid or another would get sick. I guess that’s part of moving somewhere new, being introduced to new bugs.

All the kids got sick real bad around June/July, and we had to take Valentino to the hospital because he couldn’t keep anything down and became dehydrated. I had to put towels all over the floor of his bedroom because he would non stop vomit. It was horrible!!! I felt so bad for him.

They kept him overnight at the hospital as apparently it was real bad, and he came back home with daddy on the night of July 4th. He had a lot of fun at the hospital playing in their toy room and having as many popsicles as he wanted.

And just to think, a week earlier we had planned to all go to an Independence day parade. You literally cannot make plans and rely that they will 100% happen when you have little kids.

Shortly after Valentino arrived home from the hospital, someone in our neighborhood set off some fantastic fireworks. It was right behind our house and we had the perfect view from our bedroom. I loved it!!

Anyways, because we had constant sickness in our home (all three kids got sick one by one), and because hubby had to take Valentino to the hospital over night, we broke Keto…AGAIN. I know, I know, this is getting ridiculous. We broke it for a week during and after Valentino’s little hospital adventure, because we were so busy and stressed out that the last thing I had time for was cooking, and hubby didn’t have Keto options readily available while he was in the hospital, so we were bad and had carbs for one week.

I lost my mind and binged on these……

Yeah, I know, I am disgusting. Who eats this?!?!!!!!! I disgust myself sometimes. Oh the shame…..

On our last night of carbs we went all out:

Ok really though, I’m never eating carbs again. I felt so sick afterwards. Keto police WHERE are you??

Other than all that we have just been really busy still getting settled and trying to finish up putting the house together. Oh and my mom will be visiting for labor day weekend and we are really excited about that. She misses the kids so much. The kids also often ask about her and my dad and sister, and Valentino even asks about Sir Edward, and wants to make sure that Sir has a mommy and daddy and that they give him food. He’s the sweetest and so caring.
