New Years Eve 2018 and New Years Day 2019

Happy New Year everyone.

This past year was nuts. We did some crazy stuff, like move across country with three little kids, and start our lives from scratch. Talk about change and stepping outside your comfort zone!

We packed up our lives last January and moved here in February.

Not long after, we enrolled the kids in a Chinese immersion Montessori school. I’ve planned out their lives and have decided that Chinese will be their second language. I love how their school emphasizes education and discipline. And yes- Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother is literally my bible. Amy Chua, can we please be friends???

Anyways, the summer and fall just flew by me so fast. The rest of the year has been amazing and we have been exploring the Bay area and making friends. I do miss my family in Virginia though. I cannot believe we have lived here for nearly a whole year. Time flies too fast.

The year ended with a wonderful New Years Eve family dinner at home and after putting the kids to bed me and hubby celebrated drinking wine, getting tipsy and watching Die Hard, our favorite Christmas movie!

on New Year’s Day we went to brunch at Cliff House in San Fransisco. That was such an amazing experience that we would like to go there every year on New Years Day and make a tradition out of it. The food was amazing, the views were stunning and they even had a harp player. It was a perfect start to a New Year.

Happy New Year everyone. Here’s to making this new year the best yet.

Here’s a video of our year in review….
