Mothers Day and Fathers Day 2018

For Mother’s Day this year hubby surprised me with a trip to San Fransisco’s Pier 39, and it was so much fun that we went back there for Father’s Day.

Both times we ate at Chart House. It has an amazing view of the bay, the golden gate bridge, and of Alcatraz. The kids were obsessed with the view of seagulls, seals and boats. They would wave and laugh whenever a boat would pass and would become ecstatic when people on the boats waved back at them. Kids are so easily amused.

For Mother’s Day and Father’s Day the boys’s school had a celebration. For Mother’s Day it was a tea, and the kids presented us with tea, cake and flowers, and for Father’s Day they had a picnic and a game of tug of war. On that note- why are dads so competitive? They REALLY took this tug of war thing seriously, it was hilarious.

Also for Mother’s Day hubby made me go and get my nails done. I reluctantly agreed and in the beginning I didn’t want to because I thought one whole hour is too long to waste when there are a million other things we need to be doing, but he insisted.

So I went and got acrylic gels and it was the BEST and I’m so glad I went. The last time I got my nails done was years ago. It’s the little things…..

Oh AND we ate carbs again. This is getting ridiculous. I need to be held accountable and stop eating carbs. Keto police where are you?

Father’s Day:

Can I just add that, hubby is seriously the best and most involved dad there ever was. He is confident, strong and full of love. He works 15+ hours a day, 7 days a week, just so that the kids can have a good life. He wants to be involved in the kids lives, every step of the way, and I hope my monsters read this in the future and realize how lucky they are.

And as for me, I’m not too bad myself. Ok kidding.

Pics of Father’s Day Celebrations:

The kids made a card and decorated some plain gift bags. They also bought a present for their dad that they thought he would like: Toy dinosaurs. What dad wouldn’t like a toy dinosaur??!

Then on Father’s Day morning the kids ran into our bedroom with their gifts for daddy to surprise him. Then they proceeded to jump on our bed and attack us and then took back the presents they gave to hubby and played with them. They are so funny.
