Fall 2018
Can you guess what we were for Halloween?
YES! Crazy game of thrones family. We have the mother of dragons, Jon Snow, Ghost, Drogon and Rhaegal.
So I may or may not get a little carried away with this Halloween thing. We have to do a family theme, like every. single. year.
Last year we did Peter Pan!
The year before we were Dr. Seuss characters!
And the year before, Wizard of Oz!
In case you haven’t noticed, my inner child comes out in time for Halloween. I turn into a 5 year old. All my usual priorities fly out the window. Chores? What chores?! I’m busy constructing an iron throne. Yes- I literally made an iron throne, out of cardboard. It wasn’t perfect but A for effort right?
So the whole month of October was filled with fun activities that satisfied my inner 5 year old. We saw Michael Jackson in San Fransisco. Literally.
We went to this place that had lots of trains and the boys LOVED it.
We had a little pumpkin carving activity……
And just overall a fun time….
On Halloween itself I was completely shocked at the number of trick or treaters we got. The doorbell was constantly ringing. This year we decided not to give out candy and give out clementines instead, and so I got two huge bag fulls of them from costco, and they literally ran out within the first ten minutes. I think our doorbell rang about 80 times. Thank goodness I had a ton of glow stick bracelets to give out.
Also, did you know that the Halloween fairy visits our house? She comes on Halloween night, and collects the candy the kids leave out for her, and in exchange she leaves them some toys. We carved her a little pumpkin house so that she could rest inside.
We also had this inflatable witch, and Valentino convinced Caspian that she was going to eat him. And so he kept a safe distance from her. Why are they so funny?
Here’s a clip of our Halloween night:
